Our Laminitis Lecture, Auction and Dinner Party to benefit The Animal Health Foundation's Laminitis Research Fund was a great success. Much fun was had by all. Take a look at some of the faces in the crowd below.

We want to thank our donors, sponsors, and all who attended for helping us raise money to help free the horse of laminitis.

Featured Guest Speaker

Chris Pollitt, BVSc, PhD., University of Queensland, presented:

 “The Latest Findings, Treatments and Prevention of Laminitis”.

The Animal Health Foundation is Dr. Pollitt's sole source of research support from the USA. He is coming to America with great new research findings that should lead to new advances in preventing and treating laminitis. Many of his new findings have been made possible by financial support provided by small and large donations from individuals received through the AHF.

Faces in the Crowd

Dr. Chris Pollitt delivers his team's latest findings in laminitis research.
 
Dr. Walsh and Dr. Pollitt answer questions from the crowd after the lecture portion of the evening's events.
Everyone enjoyed bidding on the huge number of items in the silent auction.
Dr. Walsh introduces auctioneer Joe Daley at the start of the oral auction.
Joe Daley gets the oral auction started.
The oral auction was a buzz of activity.
Dr. Pollitt entertains the crowd with a reading of "Banjo" Patterson's poem, The Man From Snowy River. Dr. Walsh helps out with a few cracks of the stock whip.
To end the evening, Dr. Pollitt and Dr. Walsh lead the crowd in singing Waltzing Matilda. What a nice time was had by all!
